Description

This zesty Buffalo Chicken Wrap combines tender, spicy marinated chicken with fresh veggies, creamy dressing, and shredded cheddar all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Perfect for a quick and flavorful lunch or dinner, it balances heat from the classic Buffalo sauce with cool blue cheese or ranch, creating a satisfying handheld meal.

Ingredients

Chicken and Marinade

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Frank’s Hot Sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt

Wrap Fillings

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup Blue cheese or Ranch dressing
  • 2 cups Romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrot, shredded
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken: Slice chicken breast into several long, thin strips to allow even cooking and marinate penetration.
  2. Prepare marinade and marinate chicken: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, Frank’s Hot Sauce, paprika, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Add the chicken strips and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for at least 10 minutes or refrigerate up to 24 hours for deeper flavor.
  3. Cook chicken: Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken strips and cook, stirring occasionally, until no longer pink in the center and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Prepare tortillas and fillings: While the chicken cooks, lay tortillas on a plate. Spread a thin layer of blue cheese or ranch dressing over each tortilla. Then layer chopped romaine lettuce, shredded carrots, sliced avocado, and shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
  5. Assemble wraps: Distribute cooked chicken strips evenly down the center of each prepared tortilla. Fold the sides tightly and roll the tortillas like a burrito to enclose the filling securely.
  6. Serve: Serve wraps immediately with extra hot sauce or dressing on the side, if desired. Enjoy this flavorful and easy-to-make Buffalo Chicken Wrap!

Notes

  • Marinating chicken for longer enhances the buffalo flavor and tenderness.
  • Substitute gluten-free tortillas if needed for a gluten-free option.
  • Blue cheese dressing adds a classic Buffalo wing flavor, but ranch dressing is a milder substitute.
  • Adding avocado contributes creaminess and healthy fats.
  • Use fresh veggies for crunch and freshness.
  • Can be served warm or at room temperature.
