Description

Delicious and fudgy Brownie Protein Bars that combine the rich flavors of cocoa and chocolate protein powder with the creamy texture of almond butter. These no-bake bars are perfect as a healthy snack or post-workout treat, packed with protein and natural sweetness from maple syrup.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup chocolate protein powder
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp almond flour
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate chips)

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond butter (or peanut butter, cashew butter, etc.)
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla flavoring

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line a loaf pan with parchment paper, ensuring some paper hangs over the edges. This will help easily lift out the bars later.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, add almond butter, chocolate protein powder, almond flour, maple syrup, vanilla flavoring, and salt. Mix well until fully combined, forming a dough that can be pressed together. If too dry, add additional maple syrup to moisten. Then, fold in the mini chocolate chips evenly.
  3. Press Dough into Pan: Transfer the brownie dough into the lined loaf pan. Using clean hands, firmly press the mixture evenly across the bottom. Optionally, press some extra chocolate chips on top for added texture and appearance.
  4. Chill to Set: Place the pan in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or alternatively freeze for 5-10 minutes to allow the bars to firm up.
  5. Slice and Serve: Remove the set dough by lifting the parchment paper out of the pan. Slice into 8 equal bars. Enjoy immediately or store in the fridge for later consumption.

Notes

  • Use any nut butter you prefer such as peanut or cashew butter.
  • If the dough is crumbly, add more maple syrup to achieve the right consistency.
  • For dairy-free or vegan options, make sure your protein powder fits your dietary needs.
  • Store bars in the refrigerator to keep firm or freeze for longer storage.
  • Mini chocolate chips can be substituted with chopped dark chocolate.
