- 3.5 ounces full-fat ricotta
- 1.5 ounces full-fat sour cream
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Spicy Honey Drizzle
- 5 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 garlic clove (grated or pressed)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp crushed red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Toppings and Serving
- Chopped chives (optional, for topping)
- 1 tsp za’atar (for topping)
- 1 tsp black & white sesame seeds (for topping)
- Pita chips (for serving)
- Naan (for serving)
- Raw veggies (for serving)
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Allow the feta, ricotta, and sour cream to come to room temperature to ensure easier blending and a smoother texture.
- Blend the Dip: Add the room temperature feta, ricotta, and sour cream into a food processor. Season with salt and black pepper. Blend on high for about 2 to 3 minutes until the mixture is completely smooth. Taste and adjust salt and pepper as needed.
- Make Spicy Honey Drizzle: In a small saucepan, heat olive oil over low heat. Add the grated or pressed garlic and sauté gently until fragrant, about 1 minute. Be careful not to burn the garlic. Turn off the heat, then stir in honey, lemon juice, crushed red chili flakes, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Serve the Dip: Transfer the whipped feta dip to a serving bowl. Drizzle generously with the warm spicy honey mixture. Sprinkle chopped chives, za’atar, black and white sesame seeds, extra freshly ground black pepper, and additional chili flakes as desired.
- Enjoy: Serve immediately with pita chips, naan bread, and raw vegetables for dipping. This dip is perfect for entertaining or as a flavorful snack.
Notes
- Make sure the cheeses are at room temperature for the smoothest blend.
- Adjust the amount of crushed chili flakes in the honey drizzle to control spiciness.
- If you don’t have za’atar, substitute with dried thyme or oregano mixed with sesame seeds.
- The dip can be made a few hours in advance and refrigerated; bring to room temperature before serving.
- Use full-fat dairy for the creamiest texture and best flavor.
