Description

This Turkey Stuffing Meatloaf combines lean ground turkey with seasoned stuffing mix and vegetables for a flavorful, moist loaf that tastes like holiday dinner in every slice. It’s a comforting one‑dish meal perfect for weeknight dinners or a cozy family gathering.

Ingredients

pounds ground turkey

1½ cups seasoned stuffing mix (dry or prepped)

1 cup finely chopped onion

1 cup finely diced celery

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg, beaten

½ cup milk

2 tablespoons ketchup (plus extra for topping)

1 teaspoon dried sage (or 1 tablespoon fresh, chopped)

1 teaspoon dried thyme

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil (for sautéing vegetables)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C). Line a loaf pan with parchment or lightly grease it.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil. Add onion and celery; sauté until softened (about 5 minutes). Stir in garlic and cook 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, stuffing mix, cooled vegetables, beaten egg, milk, ketchup, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Gently mix until just combined—avoid overworking for a tender loaf.
  4. Transfer mixture to prepared pan, pressing lightly into an even loaf shape. Spread 2 tablespoons of ketchup over the top for glaze.
  5. Bake for 45–55 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 °F (74 °C) and the top is lightly browned.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest 10 minutes before slicing. This helps the loaf set and keeps it juicy.
  7. Slice and serve with extra gravy or ketchup. Pairs beautifully with mashed potatoes, vegetables, or a comforting side salad.

Notes

Add shredded cheese for extra richness and flavor.

Grated carrot or zucchini boosts the vegetable content and adds moisture.

Use fresh herbs for a brighter, more aromatic flavor.

Mix ketchup with mustard or maple syrup for a glaze with a twist.

Store leftovers refrigerated or frozen for easy meals later.
