Ingredients
1½ pounds ground turkey
1½ cups seasoned stuffing mix (dry or prepped)
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 cup finely diced celery
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 large egg, beaten
½ cup milk
2 tablespoons ketchup (plus extra for topping)
1 teaspoon dried sage (or 1 tablespoon fresh, chopped)
1 teaspoon dried thyme
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil (for sautéing vegetables)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C). Line a loaf pan with parchment or lightly grease it.
- In a skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil. Add onion and celery; sauté until softened (about 5 minutes). Stir in garlic and cook 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, stuffing mix, cooled vegetables, beaten egg, milk, ketchup, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Gently mix until just combined—avoid overworking for a tender loaf.
- Transfer mixture to prepared pan, pressing lightly into an even loaf shape. Spread 2 tablespoons of ketchup over the top for glaze.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 °F (74 °C) and the top is lightly browned.
- Remove from oven and let rest 10 minutes before slicing. This helps the loaf set and keeps it juicy.
