Description

A creamy, sweet smoothie inspired by the classic strawberry shortcake dessert—made with strawberries, vanilla yogurt, almond milk, and a hint of cookie or cake for a nostalgic treat.

Ingredients

1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries

1/2 cup vanilla yogurt (dairy or plant-based)

1/2 cup almond milk or milk of choice

12 shortbread cookies or vanilla cake pieces

1 optional ripe banana

12 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional)

1/2 cup ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add strawberries, vanilla yogurt, and milk into a blender.
  2. Crumble shortbread cookies or cake into the blender.
  3. Blend until smooth but slightly textured to retain cookie bits.
  4. Add banana for extra creaminess and blend again if desired.
  5. Stir in honey or maple syrup if more sweetness is needed.
  6. Add ice cubes for chilled thickness and blend until smooth.
  7. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

Swap shortbread for granola or oat cereal for a healthier option.

Add vanilla protein powder for a nutritional boost.

Use Greek or coconut yogurt based on dietary needs.

Blend in spinach or kale for added greens without affecting flavor.

Swirl in strawberry jam or sauce for richer strawberry flavor.
