- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 (8-ounce) dark chocolate bar, chopped
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch oven-safe skillet or round baking dish.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and egg yolk one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sea salt, and baking soda.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined—do not overmix.
- Fold in chopped dark chocolate chunks.

Notes
- For gooier texture, bake closer to 20 minutes.
- You can substitute the dark chocolate bar with semi-sweet or milk chocolate as desired.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for the ultimate treat.
