Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound green beans, trimmed
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add trimmed green beans. Season with sea salt and black pepper. Sauté for 4 minutes, until bright green and slightly underdone.
- Push green beans to the edges of the pan and create a well in the center. Add butter and let it melt.
- Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir garlic and green beans together until evenly coated.
- Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Don’t overcook the green beans—they should be tender-crisp for the best texture and flavor.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Try topping with grated Parmesan for extra richness.
- Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
