Ingredients
1 lb chicken sausage
¼ cup chopped onion
¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
½ cup cheddar cheese, grated
1 egg
½ tsp hot sauce (optional)
1 tsp salt
Dash of red pepper flakes
2 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick)
⅔ cup milk
¼ cup mayonnaise
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 °F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a skillet, cook sausage with chopped onion until browned and crumbled; drain and let cool slightly.
- In a bowl, whisk together egg, Parmesan, cheddar, hot sauce, salt, and red pepper flakes.
- Stir in baking mix, milk, and mayonnaise until combined.
- Fold in the cooked sausage and onions.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
