Description

This Lemon Cinnamon Ginger Tea is a soothing, immune-boosting, anti-inflammatory tonic made with citrus fruits, warming spices, and fresh ginger. It’s perfect for cold and flu season, offering comforting flavor and health benefits in every cup.

Ingredients

  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 45 cardamom pods, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppercorn
  • 6 cups water
  • Your choice of sweetener (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Once boiling, cover the pot and reduce the heat to low. Let the mixture simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the citrus slices have softened.
  3. Strain the tea through a fine mesh sieve to remove the solids.
  4. Serve warm, sweetened to taste with your preferred sweetener.

Notes

  • Adjust simmer time depending on how strong you prefer the flavor.
  • Customize the recipe by increasing or reducing the amount of ginger, citrus, or spices.
  • You can reuse the ingredients by adding another 6 cups of water and simmering again for a second batch.
  • Great to sip warm throughout the day during cold and flu season.
