Ingredients
Turkey Burger Mix
- 1 1/4 pounds Ground Turkey
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup Fresh Spinach, chopped
- 1/2 cup Feta Cheese
- 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp Fresh Dill, chopped
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
For Cooking
- 3 tbsp Olive Oil
To Serve
- 6 ounces Green Salad Mix
- Primal Kitchen Green Goddess Salad Dressing, to drizzle on top
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 400 degrees F to prepare for finishing the cooking of the patties.
- Mix the ingredients: In a large bowl, gently combine ground turkey, egg, chopped spinach, feta cheese, parsley, dill, salt, and pepper without over mixing to keep the texture light.
- Form patties: Using your hands, shape the mixture into 6 evenly sized patties and set them aside.
- Heat the skillet and sear patties: Warm olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Carefully add the patties and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned, flipping gently to avoid breaking.
- Finish cooking in the oven: Transfer the skillet with patties to the preheated oven, cooking for an additional 10 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F and the patties are fully cooked through. If your skillet is too small, place patties on a baking sheet in the oven.
- Rest and serve: Remove patties from the oven and allow them to cool slightly. Serve atop a bed of green salad mix and drizzle with Primal Kitchen Green Goddess Salad Dressing.
Notes
- Be gentle when mixing the ingredients and flipping the patties to prevent them from falling apart due to the moisture from the feta cheese.
- If you don’t have an oven-safe skillet, you can brown the patties in a regular skillet and transfer them to a baking sheet for finishing in the oven.
- The internal temperature should reach 165°F to ensure the turkey is safely cooked.
- For a lower-fat option, use reduced-fat feta or less cheese.
- Serve with low-carb sides to keep the meal keto-friendly.
