Description

Smooth, rich, and deeply fudgy, this sugar-free chocolate sauce is perfect for drizzling over keto ice cream, glazing low-carb donuts, or using as a chocolate fondue. Quick to make and irresistibly delicious!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ cup allulose sweetener
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon espresso powder (optional, enhances chocolate flavor)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the Base: In a measuring cup, whisk together the cream and water. Pour into a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add sweetener and butter.
  2. Simmer: Bring the mixture to a simmer, whisking until the sweetener is fully dissolved. Continue to cook for 5 minutes, whisking often. Do not let it boil.
  3. Add Chocolate: Remove the saucepan from heat. Add the chopped chocolate and let it sit undisturbed for 3 minutes to melt.
  4. Finish the Sauce: Add vanilla extract, espresso powder (if using), and a pinch of salt. Whisk until the sauce is smooth and glossy.
  5. Serve or Store: Drizzle warm over keto desserts or store for later use.

Notes

  • Too Thin? Whisk in 1–2 teaspoons cocoa powder.
  • Too Thick? Reheat gently and whisk in a splash of cream.
  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. Sauce will thicken into a fudge-like consistency. Reheat gently to melt.
