Description

Spicy, sweet, and perfectly grilled, these hot honey chicken skewers are coated in Cajun seasoning and finished with a luscious hot honey glaze—ideal for summer grilling, party appetizers, or a quick weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • For the Chicken Skewers:
  • 3 lbs chicken thighs, cut into cubes
  • 3 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • Wooden or metal skewers
  • For the Hot Honey Glaze:
  • 1/2 cup Frank’s RedHot sauce
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • For Garnish:
  • Fresh chives, chopped

Instructions

  1. Toss cubed chicken thighs with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
  2. Thread the chicken onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt butter, then whisk in Frank’s RedHot and honey. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until smooth.
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high (375–400°F) and lightly oil the grates.
  5. Grill skewers for 12–15 minutes, turning every 3–4 minutes, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Brush with hot honey glaze during the final 3–4 minutes of cooking.
  7. Let rest for 2–3 minutes, then garnish with chopped chives and serve hot.

Notes

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  • Adjust the amount of hot sauce for desired spice level.
