Ingredients
- For the Honey Simple Syrup:
- ¾ cup honey
- ¾ cup water
- For the Lemonade:
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 8 to 10 lemons)
- 4 cups water
- 1 to 1 ½ cups Honey Simple Syrup (adjust to taste)
- Ice
- Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- Make the Honey Simple Syrup: In advance, prepare the honey simple syrup by combining ¾ cup honey and ¾ cup water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat until the honey is dissolved. Let it cool.
- Prepare the Lemonade: In a pitcher, add 1 cup of the honey simple syrup, 1 cup of fresh lemon juice, and 4 cups of water. Stir well to combine.
- Taste and Adjust: Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding up to ½ cup more of the honey simple syrup, depending on how sweet or tart you like your lemonade.
- Serve: Serve the lemonade over ice and garnish with lemon slices and a sprig of mint or wildflowers if desired.
