Description

This Garlic Bread Dip brings together all the best parts of garlic bread—roasted garlic, creamy cheese, and rich seasoning—into one hot, gooey, and irresistible dip. Perfect for parties or cozy nights in, served with crostini or crusty bread.

Ingredients

  • 3 heads garlic, tops sliced off
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Minced parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C) and spray a small baking dish with nonstick spray. Set aside.
  2. Slice the tops off garlic heads to expose cloves. Place on foil, drizzle with olive oil, wrap tightly, and roast on a baking sheet for 40–55 minutes, until tender. Let cool.
  3. Squeeze the roasted garlic cloves into a large bowl and mash into a paste using a fork.
  4. Add softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, and parmesan cheese. Mix with an electric hand mixer until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Spread the dip mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
  6. Lower oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the top is melted and golden brown.
  7. Garnish with minced parsley and serve warm with crostini, crackers, or crusty bread.

Notes

  • Make Ahead: Assemble and refrigerate covered. Bake just before serving, adding a few extra minutes if chilled.
  • Reheat: Microwave or warm in the oven until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Storage: Keep leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
