- 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream (not lite)
- 1 packet dry Lipton Onion Recipe Soup and Dip Mix (or Knorr French Onion Mix)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 4 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie or leftover)
- 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or thawed frozen)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup crispy French fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together cream of chicken soup, sour cream, onion soup mix, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Stir in shredded chicken, broccoli florets, and shredded cheddar cheese until evenly mixed.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Sprinkle the French fried onions evenly over the top.
- Cover the casserole tightly with foil and bake for 30 minutes, or until heated through and broccoli is tender to your liking.
- Remove the foil and bake uncovered for 5–10 more minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Let the casserole cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh broccoli for a firmer texture or thawed frozen broccoli for a softer texture.
- Greek yogurt may be used as a sour cream substitute, though results may vary.
- Great way to use up leftover chicken or store-bought rotisserie chicken.
- Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to 4 days.
