Description

Easy Banana Cobbler is a warm, comforting dessert featuring ripe bananas baked under a golden, biscuit-like topping. Quick to prepare and full of cozy flavor, it’s perfect served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a delicious finish.


Ingredients

4 ripe bananas, sliced

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup brown sugar (for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. Slice bananas and layer them evenly in the bottom of the prepared dish. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over bananas.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients and stir until just mixed. Spoon batter over the banana layer—it’s okay if it doesn’t cover all the bananas.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted into the topping comes out clean.
  7. Let cool slightly. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
