Description

A bright and bubbly strawberry soda made with muddled strawberries, simple syrup, soda water, and a splash of cream or sparkling wine—perfectly refreshing and slightly indulgent.

Ingredients

1 cup fresh strawberries (or thawed frozen)

2 tablespoons simple syrup (or sugar dissolved in water)

1 cup club soda or sparkling water

2 tablespoons heavy cream, half-and-half, or sparkling wine

Ice cubes

1 teaspoon lemon or lime juice (optional)

Garnish: strawberry slice or mint sprig (optional)

Instructions

  1. Muddle strawberries with simple syrup in a glass or small pitcher until juicy.
  2. Add lemon or lime juice if using.
  3. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  4. Pour in club soda or sparkling water and stir gently to combine.
  5. Float a splash of heavy cream, half-and-half, or sparkling wine on top.
  6. Garnish with a strawberry slice or mint sprig.
  7. Serve immediately while the fizz is fresh.

Notes

Use sparkling wine or prosecco for an adult twist.

Swap dairy cream with coconut cream or plant-based milk for a vegan version.

Add flavored liqueur like elderflower or strawberry schnapps for extra flair.

Use flavored seltzer or sugar substitute for a sugar-free version.

Mix in raspberries or blueberries for a berry blend.
