Description

Creamy Parmesan Chicken is a quick and easy one-skillet dish made with tender chicken breasts in a rich, creamy Parmesan garlic sauce. Ready in under 30 minutes, it’s the perfect weeknight dinner that pairs well with pasta, rice, or vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts, boneless skinless
  • 1 ½ teaspoons dried oregano
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 12 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken in a sealable bag and pound into 4 thin, even pieces. Season both sides with oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (165°F). Transfer to a plate and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the butter and add the garlic. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add flour and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until lightly golden.
  6. Whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream. Reduce heat to medium and stir until sauce thickens.
  7. Remove skillet from heat and stir in Parmesan, paprika, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  8. Return chicken and its juices to the skillet. Simmer on medium-low for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve warm.
