Description

These Cottage Cheese Wraps are a quick and healthy alternative to traditional wraps, made with simple ingredients and baked to perfection. They offer a protein-rich, low-carb option ideal for sandwiches or roll-ups, perfect for a gluten-free or low-sodium diet.

Ingredients

Wrap Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine the cottage cheese, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined, about 1 minute.
  3. Spread Mixture: Pour the blended mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly into a large rectangle. Spread as thin as possible without the parchment paper showing through, taking care to keep edges slightly thicker to avoid breakage when rolling.
  4. Add Cheese Topping: Evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the spread mixture.
  5. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the wrap is set and slightly golden around the edges.
  6. Cool the Wrap: Remove from oven and transfer the parchment paper with the baked wrap onto a wire rack. Allow it to cool completely before handling.
  7. Serve: Once fully cooled, slice the wrap in half and carefully peel off the parchment paper. Fill with your favorite fillings, roll up, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Spreading the mixture evenly and not too thin on the edges helps prevent the wrap from cracking when rolled.
  • Allow the wrap to cool completely to ensure it holds together when filled and rolled.
  • Feel free to customize the filling with vegetables, meats, or spreads of your choice for added flavor.
  • This recipe is naturally gluten-free and can be enjoyed by those following a low-carb diet.
