Description

This quick and easy Balsamic Vinaigrette is tangy, slightly sweet, and incredibly flavorful. Made with aged balsamic vinegar, olive oil, Dijon mustard, and honey, it’s the perfect homemade dressing to elevate any salad in just 5 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup aged balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 23 tablespoons honey (to taste)
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add balsamic vinegar, olive oil, 2 tablespoons honey, Dijon mustard, dried thyme, minced garlic, salt, and pepper to a jar with a lid.
  2. Seal the jar and shake vigorously until fully combined and emulsified.
  3. Taste the vinaigrette and adjust sweetness or seasoning by adding more honey or salt as desired.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2–3 weeks.
  • Shake well before each use, as separation may occur.
  • For a vegan version, substitute maple syrup or agave for honey.
  • Use this vinaigrette on green salads, roasted vegetables, or as a marinade for grilled proteins.
