Description

A refreshing and vibrant Apple and Raspberry Mocktail combining the natural sweetness of apple juice and raspberries with a tangy kick from apple cider vinegar, perfectly balanced with agave nectar and sparkling soda water. This easy-to-make, low-calorie mocktail is ideal for warm days or any time you want a healthy, alcohol-free beverage.

Ingredients

Fruit and Juice

  • ⅔ cup apple juice (160 ml)
  • ⅓ cup raspberries (slightly heaped, 50 g) plus extra for garnish

Sweetener and Vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar
  • 4 teaspoons apple cider vinegar

Other

  • Ice
  • Soda water
  • Fresh mint leaves (to garnish)

Instructions

  1. Mix Ingredients: Pour 160 ml of apple juice into a blending jug along with 50 g of raspberries and 1 tablespoon of agave nectar.
  2. Blend: Blend the mixture for 20-30 seconds until all raspberries are fully blended and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Strain: Pour the blended mixture through a sieve into a jug to remove seeds and pulp, then set the juice aside.
  4. Prepare with Cocktail Shaker: Place a handful of ice into one half of a cocktail shaker. Add 4 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and the strained raspberry apple juice mix.
  5. Shake: Secure the lid and shake vigorously until the shaker is almost too cold to hold, chilling the drink thoroughly.
  6. Strain into Glasses: Use the shaker’s strainer to pour the mocktail into glasses filled with ice. Top each glass with soda water.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with extra raspberries and fresh mint leaves. Serve immediately and enjoy!
  8. Alternative Without Cocktail Shaker: Fill glasses with ice and pour 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar into each glass. Add the strained raspberry mix and stir gently to combine.
  9. Top and Garnish: Top each glass with soda water, garnish with extra raspberries and fresh mint leaves, then serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh, ripe raspberries for the best flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of agave nectar if you prefer a sweeter or tarter drink.
  • Chilling the glasses beforehand enhances the refreshment factor.
  • If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, mixing directly in the glass is an easy alternative.
  • For a fizzy twist, ensure your soda water is well chilled before topping off.
  • Serve immediately after preparation to enjoy the freshest taste and fizz.
