Description

Air Fryer Garlic Shrimp is a quick and easy appetizer with a deliciously savory flavor. Made with garlic powder, simple seasonings, and cooked to perfection in just 6 minutes, it’s a perfect light meal or snack.

Ingredients

  • For the Shrimp:
  • 1 lb raw shrimp (large, defrosted, peels removed, tails optional)
  • 1 tsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the shrimp: Run frozen shrimp under cool water to defrost completely. Lay the shrimp on a paper towel-lined plate and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the shrimp: In a bowl, toss the shrimp with avocado oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Cook the shrimp: Place the shrimp in an even layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 360°F for 6 minutes, turning the shrimp halfway through cooking for even crisping.
  4. Serve and enjoy: Once the shrimp is pink and cooked through, remove from the air fryer and serve immediately!

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftover shrimp in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Reheating: Reheat the shrimp in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes at 360°F to retain their crispiness.
  • Variations:
  • Spicy Option: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes for some heat.
  • Lemon Twist: Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp before serving for an extra burst of flavor.
  • Herb Option: Add some chopped fresh parsley or cilantro to garnish for added freshness.
